Nidget docs

Publish your first interactive.

Everything editors and developers need to build, brand, publish and measure interactive stories with Nidget.

01

Quickstart

Go from a new workspace to a live interactive in four steps.

  1. 1Add your publication website and confirm the brand colours and fonts Nidget discovers.
  2. 2Choose a reusable format from Templates, then create an article-specific draft.
  3. 3Add the story content, data and media, and check the desktop and mobile previews.
  4. 4Publish the version and copy the WordPress embed or canonical widget URL.

02

Editorial workflow

Templates are reusable starting points; widgets are the story-specific work created from them.

Create

Start with a template and tailor the content.

Preview

Check responsive layout and reader interactions.

Version

Keep a safe history of every published change.

03

Publishing

Nidget gives every live widget a stable URL and a responsive iframe embed.

<iframe src="https://your-nidget-site/w/widget-id" title="Interactive" loading="lazy"></iframe>

Use the generated embed from the Publish panel whenever possible—it includes the resize helper and your workspace’s chosen attribution settings.
